We are still waiting for the last aircraft to land so we can publish some scores. Hope they hurry up, I'm getting hungry.

So the sniffer launched, it was looking a bit tricky, the call was made to scrub the cross country and have a height climb only day
Most the comp took high towed and launched into the wave. 797 has been over 17,000 feet and A31 completed the cross country task. We are still launching as I type.

At least three gliders have been over 10,000feet today, not bad considering we did not start launching until 17:00. The height gain competition is heating up.

RG has taken a launch in the height gain competition, he was last heard passing 10,000ft.
Being the only flight today he has assessed a commanding lead for the height trophy.

The social program for this years UKMSC includes a Hypnotist show, talks from Braemar Mountain Rescue and John Tanner. As well as the famous quiz, competition dinner and quiz nights.

Their have been a number of changes in the entry list as we get closer to the start of the 20th UK Mountain Soaring Championship.
Also many thanks of all our sponsors for their continued support of this years UKMSC.

For those of you not familiar with the UKMSC, their are two competitions running in parallel. One is standard cross country racing competition scored using regional rules with a slight modification the start procedure to allow pilot to start in wave.

The second is a height gain competition running throughout the week, with prizes also awarded daily for the greatest gain of height.
